Born in Philadelphia, Dean Styers’ early work (in various mediums) first appeared in Boston, where he lived in the early 1990’s. Dean’s work is concerned with combining aesthetic values from our shared, nostalgic past with modern notions of cynicism, longing, anger and misery. His paintings have appeared in numerous, internationally renowned galleries. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
